Magherafelt-based construction contractor Henry Brothers has opened a new office in Edinburgh, its sixth UK location, marking a significant step in the company's ongoing expansion across Scotland and the wider UK, as reported by the News Letter. The Edinburgh base provides an east coast presence to complement the company's existing Glasgow office, strengthening its regional coverage across Scotland ahead of its 50th anniversary in September 2026.

Henry Brothers has maintained a continuous presence in Scotland since 1997. The Edinburgh office will support a growing portfolio of Scottish projects including Frogston Primary School, Aberlady Primary School, projects at His Majesty's Naval Base Clyde and Royal Naval Armaments Depot Coulport, RAF Lossiemouth, and the Army Reserve Centre in Dunfermline, demonstrating a breadth of experience across education, defence and infrastructure sectors.

Henry Brothers is part of The Henry Group, a Northern Ireland-based group of companies spanning construction, manufacturing and interiors fit-out. The contractor operates across healthcare, education, defence, commercial and justice sectors across the UK, and recently completed a £12.4 million (€14.4 million) expanded Endoscopy Unit at Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham for Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Scotland's construction market is underpinned by sustained public sector investment in education, healthcare and defence infrastructure. The Scottish Government's 2026/27 capital budget allocates significant funding to school rebuilds, hospital projects and transport infrastructure, reinforcing the project pipeline into which Henry Brothers is expanding its east coast presence.
