Co. Londonderry-headquartered concrete products and construction group FP McCann has reported revenue of more than £485m for the year ending 31 December 2025, up from £415m in 2024, alongside a profit before tax of £57m, a 9% increase on the prior year's £52m. The results mark a significant milestone for one of Northern Ireland's largest family-owned construction sector businesses.

The Belfast Telegraph reported that manufacture of construction products accounted for £433m of total revenue, with construction activities contributing a further £52m. Additional income sources included £4.5m from a research and development credit, £1.9m in rental income from investment properties and £1.6m in interest receivable.

The Magherafelt-based group, which has been operating for over four decades under managing director Hugh McCann, produces a wide range of precast concrete products for drainage, water management, fencing, flooring and building applications, alongside quarrying, ready-mix concrete production, surfacing solutions and dry silo mortar.

Cost of sales rose at the same rate as turnover, from £341m to £400m, while administrative expenses increased 22% from £30m to £37m. The group employed close to 2,000 people on average during 2025, up from 1,673, with employee costs rising 20% from £80m to £96m.

The group's strategic report noted it had continued to invest in its facilities and people, expressing confidence that the strategy would enable the company to capitalise on growing demand from the construction industry.

In 2025, FP McCann invested in a state-of-the-art facility to support research into robotics and low-carbon concrete technology. The group also deploys an internally developed AI-augmented computer vision system across its factories to maximise product quality, which it describes as a first-of-its-kind for the industry, alongside ongoing research into sustainable drainage systems, low-carbon materials, energy-efficient manufacturing and high-performance structures.
