UK-based Carey Group has reported pre-tax profit rising from £7m (€8.2m) to £11m (€12.8m) in the year ended 30 September 2025 despite group revenue declining 22% from £388m (€453m) to £303m (€354m), with financial results reflecting strategic focus on margin improvement and disciplined contract selection across its specialist contracting operations.

Construction Wave reported that group EBITDA surged to £17m (€19.9m) from £11m (€12.8m) in FY2024, whilst the company maintained a strong net asset position of £85m (€99.3m) in line with the previous financial period. Net cash increased to £34m (€39.7m) from £24m (€28m), with year-end cash in bank reaching £44m (€51.4m) ahead of £33m (€38.6m) the prior year.

Jason Carey, Carey family member, said he was pleased to see strategic investments set in motion two years ago become fully embedded across the group, noting the company remains on track to deliver what it set out to achieve through targeted operational improvements.

Bosses said another year of robust cash generation allowed the company to deliver cash-backed profits whilst reinforcing financial stability amid ongoing industry-wide challenges. Strategic priorities continue to centre on margin improvement via targeted, inflation-aligned growth and disciplined approach to contract selection alongside project management and delivery.

Carey Group secured 33 construction projects during the year with strong activity across London, the Midlands, North England and Scotland. The forward order book is currently valued at more than £300m (€350m), with 72% of the FY2026 order book already secured across specialist contracting businesses including BDL.

A group spokesperson said the company enters FY2026 with confidence, supported by a strong order book, disciplined growth plans and strategic focus on optimising investment in digital platforms, machinery and vehicles to continue delivering projects safely and efficiently.
