AI construction management firm Buildots has acquired Genda, a workforce and safety management platform, in a deal that unites jobsite progress analytics with real-time labour insights for the first time in the industry.

The acquisition aims to address one of construction’s most persistent challenges — fragmented data between project execution and workforce performance. Buildots’ AI and computer vision tools already track project progress and identify delay risks. By integrating Genda’s workforce intelligence, contractors will gain a single source of truth for site productivity, enabling faster, evidence-based decisions.

Founded in 2019, Genda provides real-time visibility into labour, equipment, and materials across complex projects. Its platform is used by major US contractors including DPR Construction, Clark Construction, JE Dunn, and Hensel Phelps. CEO and founder Erez Dror will continue to lead Genda’s operations from Austin, Texas, as Buildots invests in expanding its product reach globally.

Buildots CEO Roy Danon described the move as a “milestone on the industry’s journey toward operational excellence”, while Lightspeed Venture Partners’ Tal Morgenstern called it the creation of the world’s first “foundation model” for construction — combining physical and digital data to transform project delivery.

As the integration progresses, the combined platform is expected to redefine productivity intelligence, reduce delays, and improve safety outcomes across global projects.
