BAM UK & Ireland has reinforced its North West regional presence with an investment in its Salford office, creating a modern base for 300 employees working across the region, as reported by Premier Construction News. The hub will provide dedicated space for collaboration with clients, consultants and supply chain partners across BAM's North West project portfolio.

The investment forms part of BAM UK & Ireland's broader Northern regional strategy, which encompasses offices in Leeds and Newcastle alongside the Salford base. The North West has been a long-established operational area for the contractor, with recent project deliveries including Manchester Airport's Terminal 2 transformation, Salford Royal's Major Trauma Hospital, and the new Manchester and Trafford Community Diagnostic Centre at Withington Community Hospital.

BAM UK & Ireland operates across healthcare, education, commercial and infrastructure sectors, and is part of Royal BAM Group, which groups its UK and Ireland division across four business segments: BAM Construction UK, civils firm BAM Nuttall, Irish contracting business BAM Contractors Ireland, and BAM Ventures. Royal BAM Group reported BAM Construction UK returned to profit in early 2026, supported by strong execution and a strategic shift away from single-stage, fixed-price contracts toward more collaborative procurement models.

The Salford hub investment comes as BAM UK & Ireland continues to expand its project pipeline across the UK and Ireland. The contractor recently signed an Early Contractor Involvement agreement with SSEN Transmission for the northern converter station on the Eastern Green Link 3 project in Aberdeenshire, the UK's largest ever electricity transmission project. It has also secured its first contract under the Accelerated Strategic Transmission Investment framework to deliver SSEN Transmission's Greens substation.
