This award celebrates the successful implementation of outstanding diversity and inclusion strategies, policies and practices by an organisation working in Ireland’s construction industry. Diversity and inclusion within the organisation will go beyond compliance, actively promoting equity, respect, and opportunity for all employees. The winning organisation will have a proven track record of creating an environment where diversity is embraced and inclusivity is embedded into the company culture, leading to measurable positive outcomes for employees. Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for a clear plan and evidence that it is delivering on core DEI objectives, paying attention to the criteria listed below.
- Organisation Overview and Commitment to DEI: Introduce your organisation, detailing how diversity and inclusion are deeply embedded in your culture and operations. Highlight key milestones in your DEI journey.
- Recruitment and Career Development Strategies: Detail your recruitment and career development strategies that ensure diverse representation and inclusivity. Describe any innovative approaches supporting these practices.
- Exceptional Initiatives: Showcase exceptional DEI initiatives that go beyond compliance, detailing their transformative impact on DEI outcomes.
- Monitoring and Accountability: Explain how DEI efforts are measured and tracked, and how this data informs continuous improvements and ensures accountability.
- Measurable Impact and Success Stories: Provide specific examples and data demonstrating how your DEI efforts have led to measurable improvements in employee outcomes such as job satisfaction, retention and representation.
