Considerate Constructors Scheme Excellence Award

This award aims to recognise a construction site based on the island of Ireland that proved to excel across one of the areas of the Scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice. Sites will be eligible to enter this award if they are based on the island of Ireland and:

• Held an active CCS registration in the last 12 months
• Have had at least one scored Scheme Monitor visit in the same period and
• Achieved conformance with the Code of Considerate Practice in such visit

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate how they believe they have gone above and beyond in any one of the areas of the Code to help improve the image of construction, raise standards and build trust in the industry.

Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for a clear plan and evidence that it is delivering on core objectives, paying attention to the criteria listed below.

• Organisation background: Please provide a brief description of the organisation such as when it was established, the number of employees, services provided and history with CCS.
• Please explain how your site/organisation has excelled in any one of the three areas of our Code of Considerate Practice:
• Respect the community. Tell us how you excelled in managing your impact on your neighbours and the public.
• Care for the environment. Tell us how you excelled in minimising your impact on the environment and in enhancing the natural environment.
• Value the workforce. Tell us how you excelled in creating a supportive, inclusive, and healthy workplace.

Please state clearly which area your initiative falls under in your application.

• Challenges: Please include any relevant challenges faced in the course of delivery in your chosen area of the Code, and describe how they were overcome.
• Supporting materials. Please include any testimonial, statements, documents and facts that support your entry.
