Industry NewsPeden Power expands access to global equipment for contractors
Construction supply chains in Ireland are being reshaped following the appointment of Magherafelt-based Peden Power Ltd as the exclusive distributor for Husqvarna Construction equipment and diamond tools in Northern Ireland.
The partnership, which took effect on January 1, 2026, positions Peden Power as the sole route to market for Husqvarna Construction products in the region. For contractors and construction firms operating across Northern Ireland, the move centralises procurement while broadening access to a globally recognised equipment portfolio supported by local expertise.
Husqvarna Construction is a global manufacturer of equipment and diamond tools for the construction and stone industries. By consolidating distribution through a single Northern Ireland-based partner, the company is updating its regional model to improve efficiency and customer support.
Senior representatives from Husqvarna Construction, including UK and Ireland country manager Andrew Miles and vice president of sales and services Bernardo Cruz, visited Peden Power’s Magherafelt premises to mark the start of the collaboration. Discussions focused on shared ambitions, future growth opportunities and strengthening support for the local construction sector.
A Spokesperson of Peden Power said: “We are thrilled to become Husqvarna Construction’s distributor for Northern Ireland. This partnership reflects our passion for innovation and our dedication to providing top-tier solutions for the construction industry. There is much more to come, and we are excited to share our vision as this partnership grows.”
The agreement builds on a relationship between the two companies that spans almost three decades. According to Husqvarna Construction, formalising and expanding that relationship reflects confidence in Peden Power’s technical knowledge, customer service and understanding of the regional construction market.
