Insight Building Group, a newly formed general contractor headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, has officially launched with a focus on industrial and commercial construction across Alabama and the wider southeastern United States, as reported by Yellowhammer News. The company was formally organised in Alabama in February 2026 and brings together a founding leadership team with combined experience across preconstruction, estimating, project management, field operations, financial management and client service.

The firm will pursue manufacturing facilities, distribution centres, warehouses and other large-scale commercial and industrial builds. Its service offering spans preconstruction, budgeting, estimating, general contracting, construction management and full project execution from concept through to completion.

The founding team comprises Ryan Ferris as chief revenue officer, Cameron Robulack as chief operating officer, Lee Strickland as chief financial officer and Jimmy Wren as chief preconstruction officer.

Ferris said: "We are excited to introduce Insight Building Group and begin this next chapter. Our team understands the importance of trust, responsiveness, and accountability in construction. We look forward to partnering with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver successful projects from concept through completion."

Wren said: "Our name reflects the way we intend to serve our clients. We want to bring insight, clarity, and confidence to the construction process. Every project has challenges, and our job is to help clients navigate those challenges with a steady, experienced team."

The southeastern United States represents one of the most active industrial construction markets in North America. According to the Associated Builders and Contractors, the US construction industry put in place approximately $2.1 trillion (€1.93 trillion) in construction spending in 2025, with industrial and manufacturing facility construction among the fastest-growing segments, driven by nearshoring trends, federal infrastructure investment and sustained demand for logistics and distribution capacity across the Sun Belt states.

Alabama has been a particular beneficiary of this investment cycle. The state has attracted significant manufacturing and industrial development in recent years, including automotive, aerospace and advanced manufacturing projects that have generated sustained demand for experienced general contractors capable of delivering large-scale industrial facilities to tight programmes.

Insight Building Group enters the market at a point of strong regional demand, with its stated focus on manufacturing, distribution and warehouse construction placing it directly in line with the project categories driving the highest volume of new construction activity across the Southeast.
